Baobab were proud to stand together in solidarity with the Hope Women's Group going to the National Women for Refugee Women's conference in Manchester hosted by WAST. What an inspiring and positive day full of strong and dedicated women (and a few men!).
The new Women for Refugee Women report We are Still Here continued the campaign to end the detention of women, the day also highlighted the important issue of destitution. The Home Office promised not to detain 'adults at risk', the approach should allow women who suffered sexual and gender based violence to live freely in the community, theres much to do to make this happen.
