On 26th March 2022, from 2 - 4.30 the Status Now Network will hold a Summit to mark it's 2nd birthday https://statusnow4all.org/
Please protect this time in your diary so that you can join us via zoom.
Just this morning, I was reading a latest report from British Red Cross that draws on testimonies from 47 women about how to enable people to deal with the Asylum process, and how these women feel they are not treated with basic human dignity.
We say give everyone in the UK with precarious status Indefinite Leave to Remain. With their ILR, women can no longer be violated by the asylum process. Women will have their dignity back. Indeed, the women who have survived these violations must be directly involved in creating a future UK society that no longer abuses anybody, from anywhere in the world, who flees from home to escape the wars, persecutions and environmental destruction rooted in UK's history.
Thank you and look forward to welcoming you on 26th March. I will share eventbrite link soon as it comes available
Kind Regards,
Loraine Masiya Mponela
